From Split Airport to Brač

There is no ferry at the airport. You take the shuttle bus to the harbour in Split, about 20 km away, and board there. Here is how that works, and which boat fits your landing time.

Split Airport lies near Kaštela, 20 km from the city and 6 km from Trogir. The ferries sail from Split harbour, which is about 500 m from the old town. The two are connected by a direct airport shuttle that ends beside the harbour, so you reach the quay about an hour after landing.

Airport to harbour in four steps

  1. Collect your bags and follow the signs outside the arrivals hall to the shuttle bus. The operator is Platanus, listed on the airport's own website.
  2. Buy the ticket at the booth next to the bus, not from the driver. One way is €10.00, a return €15.00.
  3. The bus leaves roughly 30 minutes after each flight lands and does not follow clock times. It runs direct to the main bus station, which takes about 30 minutes.
  4. The bus station is right beside the ferry port. Your ticket or the departure board shows the berth, and the Jadrolinija car ferries to Supetar use berths 20, 23 and 24.

If the shuttle does not suit you, taxis wait near the main terminal. City buses 37 and 38 of Promet Split also stop at the airport; the Promet Split app has the current fares and times.

Which boat for your landing time

Allow about an hour from touchdown to the harbour: baggage, the wait for the shuttle and the ride. Then pick the boat.

  • Supetar car ferry. The easy choice, because the ticket is valid on any sailing of the day. In summer 2026 there were 14 departures between 05:00 and 23:59. The crossing takes 50 minutes. See the Split–Supetar page.
  • Catamaran to Supetar. Krilo needs about 25 minutes. In November and December 2026 it sailed at 06:25 (Monday to Saturday), 08:30 (Sunday), 12:00, 14:30 and 17:00.
  • Catamaran to Bol. Jadrolinija leaves Split at 16:30 every day of the year. If you land by about 14:00, you should make it with some margin. From mid-May to the end of September Krilo Shipping adds boats at 09:30 and 12:15 in peak weeks, which suits morning flights. More on Split–Bol.

Foot passengers can usually just walk on. Krilo allows 10 kg of hand luggage plus a 23 kg suitcase, Krilo Shipping and TP Line 20 kg per person, so a normal holiday suitcase is fine on all of them.

Landing late in the evening

The last car ferry leaves Split at 23:59 every day except 24, 25 and 31 December. The last departure from Supetar is 22:45. If your flight lands by about 22:00 you have a comfortable margin for the 23:59. Anything much later means a night in Split and the first boat at 05:00 in summer. In other months the early sailings are limited on weekends and holidays, so check the timetable.

Do not plan on a late catamaran. In winter the last Krilo boat to Supetar leaves Split at 17:00, and the Jadrolinija catamaran to Bol at 16:30, so a late arrival depends on the car ferry.

Brač's own airport

Brač has a small airport of its own, Brač Airport (BWK) at Gornji Humac, with a limited number of flights. We cannot confirm which airlines will fly to it in 2027. The airport publishes its timetable on airport-brac.hr. If a direct flight does not suit you, flying to Split and taking the ferry is the dependable route.
