Split to Bol by catamaran
Only passenger catamarans land in Bol, in the middle of the village, with Zlatni Rat reachable on foot. In winter just one Jadrolinija boat a day makes the trip; from mid-May Krilo Shipping adds daytime sailings.
Updated:
There is no car ferry to Bol. If you are travelling without a car, the catamaran from Split is the direct way to the south coast of Brač, and it saves the bus or taxi ride across the island that the Supetar crossing would leave you with. The catch is timing: the cheap boat runs at awkward hours, and the convenient ones only run in the season.

Jadrolinija line 9603: the year-round boat
This is the only boat to Bol in winter, and it is also the cheapest. It leaves Split at 16:30 every day and reaches Bol in the early evening, then carries on to Jelsa on Hvar. The way back is early: at 06:25 on weekdays and 07:25 on Saturdays in the off-season, 13:25 on Sundays, and at 06:30 every day from 29 May to 27 September.
That has consequences. You arrive in the evening and leave at dawn, so a day trip from Split to Bol is not possible with this boat alone. As a one-way transfer to your accommodation it works well.

Jadrolinija 659 in late summer
From 17 August to 20 September the Split–Bol–Hvar–Vis catamaran sails as well. It costs €23.00 to Bol, so it is for the times when the 16:30 does not suit you, not for saving money. Extra bags cost €5 a piece on this line.

Arriving in Bol
The catamarans tie up at the Ante Starčević pier in the town centre. From there Zlatni Rat is reachable on foot along the seafront promenade, and most of the village is within a few minutes. On the Split side your berth is on the ticket or the departure board; Jadrolinija uses 6a, 16a and 16b, KSC 5 or 6c, so look before you queue.
KSC sells mobile QR tickets and asks you to be at the quay 15 to 20 minutes before departure, 30 in peak season. Luggage: Jadrolinija and KSC both allow 20 kg per passenger. Bikes are not carried on the Jadrolinija catamarans. A pet in a box travels for half the adult fare on 9603 and on KSC.
With a car this route is closed to you. Take the car ferry to Supetar and drive across the island to Bol. Bad weather can cancel catamaran sailings; KSC and Krilo then refund or rebook.
